Delete your Tripvio account
You can permanently delete your Tripvio account and most associated data from the app. This page describes how. Tripvio is operated at tripvio.app and in our mobile apps.
Use the same Tripvio account you want removed. Deletion is irreversible.
- Open Tripvio on your iPhone, iPad, Android device, or in the web app.
- Go to Profile. In the mobile app, tap More in the bottom tab bar, then select the Profile tab at the top of that screen.
- Open Privacy Dashboard. In the Privacy & Consent section, tap Privacy Dashboard.
- Delete your account. Under Account Deletion, tap Delete my account and confirm the prompts.
After you complete these steps, we process deletion on our servers. You may be signed out immediately. If anything fails, use the email option below so we can verify your identity and complete the request.
When you delete your account, we permanently delete or anonymize personal data tied to your account, including for example:
- Your profile and account record
- Trips, itineraries, and related planning data
- Bookings, expenses, and wallet-related items you stored in Tripvio
- Documents and photos you uploaded
- Your membership on collaborative trips (other travelers may retain their own copies of shared trip data as permitted by their relationship with you)
We may retain certain information when the law requires it, or for limited internal purposes such as security, fraud prevention, and resolving disputes—for example aggregated or de-identified analytics, audit records, or billing and tax records related to purchases. Where retention applies, we limit access and retention time to what is necessary. See our Privacy Policy for more context.
If you cannot use the app, or deletion does not complete, email us from the address associated with your Tripvio account and ask to delete your account and associated personal data:
We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account. We aim to respond within 30 days, or as required by applicable law.
You do not have to delete your whole account to exercise many privacy choices. Depending on what you need, use the paths below or email us—always from the address associated with your Tripvio account when possible.
In the Tripvio app or web app
- Open More (bottom tab on mobile) → Profile.
- Download / portability: Tap Privacy Dashboard, then use Export my data to request a copy of data we associate with your account.
- Stop certain processing: Tap Manage Consent Preferences. You can turn off categories such as analytics, marketing email, connected inbox access, location-related features, push notifications, and cloud backup—where applicable, we stop that processing going forward (see Privacy Policy for scope).
- Remove individual content: Where the app provides delete controls, you can remove specific trips, documents, or other items you added; those items are removed from your active Tripvio data like other user-initiated deletes.
By email
To ask us to delete specific categories of personal data while keeping your account, email privacy@tripvio.app with a clear description of what you want removed (for example: synced inbox-derived trips, analytics events, or uploaded documents). We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days where required by law.
What may remain
We may retain limited information when required by law or for legitimate purposes such as security logs, fraud prevention, or billing and tax records. We also keep data that other users independently hold (for example, their own trip copies) when the law allows.
